In the society of today, the potential of encountering a violent situation increases daily. Violence is all over the news be it car jacking, robberies or terrorist acts. People need to learn self-defense techniques that actually work. Goshinryu Jujitsu may be just what the doctor ordered, no fancy techniques that are difficult to learn and dangerous to try in a real life encounter, but simple techniques that are easily learned and have been proven to work. Through years of experience Sensei Brown has learned (sometimes the hard way), that some of the techniques taught in today's' martial art schools are great for winning tournaments however when your attacked violently, some of these techniques just do not work. Many of the instructors of today have never had to defend against an attacker that is intent on seriously injuring them. Sensei Brown reveals the techniques that are best suited for self-defense.Jujitsu is the ancient art of the samurai using empty hands or small weapons and is the mother of many modern arts such as Judo and Aikido. Jujitsu techniques can be traced back to the early 1400's and include striking, throwing, joint locks and strangulation techniques.

That Last

I have been training with Jeff since June of 2024. Being an Army Veteran, it took a lot of work to get past his prior service as a Marine - but we managed. In all seriousness, when I started with Jeff, I weighed around 290-295 lbs. He helped me understand the importance of food intake as fuel, and he is very knowledgeable in many aspects of physiology and body mechanics. It is so refreshing to have a personal trainer that is humble, respectful, and always willing to learn as much as he teaches. The weight loss is far less important than how you feel and look, and how your clothes fit - which Jeffpreached to me from day one. I lost 40 pounds in less than a year and then started building some muscle. Jeff has been very patient with me, struggling with body dysmorphia - which I found out was a real thing. He has helped me a lot during the last 18 months or so, and I can't recommend him highly enough. He is always motivated to train, and while you're training with him, you are his sole client for that hour. I was lucky to have been assigned to him in 2024 at a local gym, but much prefer his very adequate studio. He is proof that you don't need a bunch of fancy equipment to work out, and I am incredibly pleased with the results - I couldn't recommend a more solid trainer. Thank you Jeff!

Every workout with Jeff is an educational journey. I am empowered to perform and exceed my own expectations and push past my own perceived
limits. I have surpassed my lifting goals several times over due to Jeff’s careful attention to my form and on the spot corrections. He is a master
spotter, which is an art in the weightroom; he never provides more aid than necessary to ensure that my muscles still receive the full benefits of the lift. One of the greatest benefits of working with Jeff is his versatility. I first approached him with a desire to work on endurance and legs. My focus
has changed several times during the three years of our partnership, and he’s always ready to roll; whether it’s strength training, endurance or self-
